Produced Water Spill Reported in Dunn County

The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) has been notified of a produced water spill resulting from a pipeline release in Dunn County. The pipeline is part of a gathering system owned by Petro-Hunt, LLC. The incident occurred on September 19 about 14 miles west of Killdeer, and it was reported today. The cause of the release is still under investigation.

Initial estimates indicate approximately 1,520 barrels of produced water were released and impacted rangeland. Personnel from the NDDoH have inspected the site and will continue to monitor the investigation and remediation.
