North Dakota Drought Roundtable Meeting Tuesday
North Dakota Ag Connection - 06/26/2017
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring will lead a drought roundtable meeting from 2-4 p.m. June 27 at the Farm Credit Services building, 1600 Old Red Trail NW, Mandan.
"This roundtable is an opportunity for producers, ag groups and agencies to discuss the current drought situation in North Dakota and the options available to producers," said Goehring. "Topics will include the status of the drought, forage quality and livestock
management strategies, crop insurance forage options and the Farm Service Agency process to access Conservation Reserve Program acres for emergency haying and grazing."
Commissioner Goehring and the following individuals are scheduled to speak:
- Kevin Sedivic, North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension Rangeland Specialist
- Carl Dahlen, NDSU Extension Animal Scientist
- Shad Weber, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Senior Risk Management Specialist
- Brad Olson, North Dakota Farm Service Agency Conservation Program Manager
