CHS to Close Northwest Minnesota Sunflower Processing Plant

Thirteen workers at a CHS facility near Thief River Falls, Minn., will be laid off as the company works to move all of its sunflower processing operations to one location in North Dakota.
Warehouse and storage facilities will remain at the site in Hazel, Minn., CHS plans to move all processing to Grandin, N.D.
In a statement, CHS says effective July 12, the facility at Hazel will cease processing operations. Eligible employees at the Hazel facility are being offered separation benefits.
